But not huge as in popular - huge as in literally larger than everyone else here in Japan. When Wolf and I walk down the street it's different feeling than walking down the street in the US.
So obviously I'm in Tokyo, getting ready for Tokyo Game Show, and trying to fight off the effects of Jet Lag (it does exist, and it's rough). I will be taking and uploading photos, and recaps, but I will say that I thought the area would look "more Japanese". It sort of looks like other big cities.
Last night after landing, we got some dinner, and I was given several bowls meat, and not knowing exactly what to do with them - I grabbed the chopsticks and started to dig in.
Before I got the food into my mouth, the nice gentleman next to me pointed out that I need to cook the food in a boiling pot of water first. It would help a dummy like me if they color coded the bowls so I knew which raw food I could eat (fish) and which I could not (beef). So hopefully I didn't insult anyone while eating a pretty tasty meal!
With Major unable to attend (http://www.majornelson.com/archive/2007/09/17/major-nelson-grounded.aspx), I will try and help out Trixie and VideoMonkey with the coverage - but regardless, I'll be doing my best to take a ton of photos, and do some blogging/twittering while here in Japan.
If any of you are attending TGS, look for me at the MS booth, I'll be the awkward guy. ;)
More to come!
