In two days from now I'm planning on getting either:


Fear

or

The Godfather


I played Fear from beginning to end on the 360 so the negative side is I already played it. Also I read that in the PS3 version the guys arms look like cardboard. On the plus side the AI rocks.


IGN gave the graphics in The Godfather a 4\10. Anyone play the 360 version? Is it really that bad? The plus side is I never played it before.


I will probably get one or the other because telling me to wait would be like telling a 4 year old that they can't have a toy.


So please. Your thoughts?

I would rather pull my eyeballs out with pliers than suffer through 1 more minute of the piece of crap that is the Godfather. It a shameless port from a pong game. At least pong was inovative for its time. :mad:

I would wait for something else or buy Fear. The gameplay on Fear was fun and the story entertaining at least.

Were the Godfather graphics lousy too?

The cinamatics were ok but the gameplay graphics sucked. Rag doll physics and the enviroment graphics sucked it give a 4.5-5

I would go with either fear or wait for another game to come out. Don't waste money on the other crappy game

Why not get something else. Isn't there anything else coming out for the ps3. There has to be something out there that you can wait a bit for.

RSV is coming out on the 12th.

If it's Rainbow then that is something you should wait for. The game is great, but best online.

Well I was going to get FEAR but I read that it is the same game as the 360 version so I bought the Godfather. I'm liking it so far. Thank you all for your opinions.

Let me say this much. I am not a fan of single player games. I play mainly online. Last night I played Fear which I got from gamefly. This game is very cool and creepy. Single player games usually don't hold my attention too long. Fear is awesome and I would recomend it! The Godfater is not too great in my opinion. I wouldn't even rent it! Go with Fear and you'll have a great time trying to get from level to level!

We are opposite in gaming. I'm not into MP. With FEAR, I already played it on 360. Some games that are multiplatform look better on the 360 so if I bought it for my PS3 and it didnt look as good, then I would be upset. Most FEAR reviews pointed out that the 360 version is clearer and less choppy. With The Godfather, I haven't played it and the game looks best on the PS3 and it is an expanded version of the game. That's why I bought it. I figured at least it's a fresh experience.

Why do they do that??? Battlefield 2 was the same on the regular Xbox too! You'd think there would be a difference? GRAW was completly different I must say! The GRAW on the original xbox sucked! Ghost Recon Summit Strike was a 1000 times better.

Time, money and lazy developers I'm guessing. I hear what you're saying. As far as PS3 games go, there is no reason for them to look worse than the 360 version.

i think you picked the right one, i played the godfather on the old xbox and i liked it alot.
Do you like the game ore was it a bad choice ? :p
