All,

Is it just an impression but it looks to me that the whole Halo3 vibe is fading faster than I thought?

I might be wrong but people do seem to shift very fast to other games.

I would't be supprised if the Bungie/Microsoft split had anything to do with that a bit. As sad as it sounds, you know that there are some fanboys out there (like the ones that threatened to sue developers over game exclusivity and whatnot) who will up and abandon support over a developer for no real reason. Uniformed, psychotic fanboys may be the issue there, but who really knows.

it's fun the game but not mindblowing like the first time you pop in GRAW

I enjoy the game but it is not nearly as cool as it should have been. There needed to be more put into it to improve what was in the previous games. I think those who love Halo will still play after the newer games come out. But Halo 3 is almost identicle to the first two. It will only take one game that is innovative and new to draw many from Halo 3.

The orange box has already done it...I will be playing that far more than Halo 3 when its released!!!

Halo 3 is exactly what they promised to develop, another halo... Theres nothing revolutionary that they are going to throw in to the last of a trilogy, I think people were expecting it to be something it couldnt live up to...

I like it and will keep playing it for awhile, but it will be sharing time with the orange box once it arrives...

You have a very good point. I think my expectations as well as others were too high. Don't get me wrong I like the game, I just wanted to see more put into it. They didn't promise anything new but many expected them to do something more. Overall it is a great game to play for fun with friends and easy to use online.

Yea I think the expectation from gamers was alittle unrealistic, after the innovations in cover systems in GoW, GR and R6:V, it seems as though many wanted Halo to alter its own game mechanics to offer something new... Bungie could either keep with the original gameplay and disappoint the new crowd or change it and draw the new audience and disappoint others... I like what they did, keeping the gameplay much the same with some innovations and focused on new features in multiplayer and recording...

indeed, it's still a good game but the hype is over faster than I would have expected.

End of the year will add lots of new games to our collections so we will not bore easily

When it first came out everyone on my friends list played it, i thought it would still be like this now, but only 1 or 2 play it occassionally. I think its a great game, but just dont find the urge to play it much anymore.

It brought me back to the 360. I love the game. Some of the hype is gone because other superb games have come/are coming out. Not a bad thing IMHO.
