By the looks of it this seems to be a retaliation of the PS3 price cut,and as it says "family console" they make it seem there going hunting for Wii heads!but only the market can tell,my assumtion is that it wont do too well because no one will touch a 360 without a HDD

I dont know man....i touched one this one time....i was drunk and it was there....I am not proud of it but it happened....:p:D (omg the humor....)

Unfortunately there's no hard-drive which means that if they pick it up they'll end up paying waaay more if they decide to pick up the hdd later.

That would depend on sales. They basically just replaced the Core. IMHO they should lower the price to $229 USD to really get into the Wii's price point. Then they would not only scoop a potentail Wii customer, the consumer would now be buying 360 games and maybe Live.
