View Full Version : I would rather get the RROD than this crap!

For all the people who have RROD, atleast you guys know what the problem is and feel confident that your problem will be fixed.

For me, I get this "Disk Unreadable" error everytime I play FIFA 08! All other games work fine and runs perfectly except for FIFA 08! I exchanged the game twice to only find out that the new disk causes the error to come up even more. I tried formatting the HDD and cleared the cache on it as well but still have the same problem. I've tried single player, Xbox Live and they always give me this error frequently. I've also tried playing without the HDD on but I got the error once again.

So apparently, the problem is not the Game Disk, HDD, or the Xbox itself, maybe? I have no idea because all games work fine except for FIFA!

I have a repair status open and am waiting for a box from MS so I can send it in, but I am not sure if they will even catch what is wrong. I am just hoping that they can exchange me with a new Xbox, hopefully sometime soon so I can start playing again (they told me I had to wait a month).

First, Welcome to the site.
Second, if I understand you correctly, The only game that you get the error with is 'FIFA 08', It could be the game. There are some manufacturing flaws out there. This doesn't mean the disc will show damage, it a problem with the data on the disc.

Is it with your copy of FIFA 08 only?

no..its with every copy.. first my friend's copy..

second.. my new copy..

third.. my new and exchanged copy..

and my 2nd new and exchanged copy..

i notice that everytime i exchange it.. it gets worst.

first it gives me the error in the middle of the game..

2nd disk gives me an error much more often..

3rd the the game just freezes at the start up screen.

i dont know what is up. and it is really frustrating!
