Just wondering, does the 360 DVD drive play + or -?

Ok so I have some DVDs I have burnt containing...... Family photos....

Anyhow I would love to watch more family photos and I have a DVD drive that burns + or - dvds.... All I need to know is what does the 360 play? And what is the more widely used one? (I heard it was +)

Any help is appreciated :)

Well... its rumored that there is 3-4 different DVD Drives out there, and im not even sure if certain ones play what. I would say try + first... if it works stay with it, if not... try -. But with therebeing a couple different drives in play one could play one, the other could play something different, but + is the more widely used. Especially if you look at the original Xbox.

right now it doesnt..if you pop it it will read mixed media disk and doesnt matter if its + or -,but HD DVD drive owners can expect an update that will let it read divx movies and photo cds

whah... I wanna see comfirmation on the divx part... if so... my hd-dvd player was worth all of the money!

Well one of my "family photo" disks played perfectly.... Even with 41% compression, it played it as - I believe so I will just use those I guess....

Well I don't have a *BEEP* clue what any of this + or - jazz is, but I burned some... pictures... onto a regular CD-R and I can view the... pictures... on my 360. So uh... yeah!

theres basically 2 different DVD Formats... a DVD+R and DVD-R. Thats all its referring to.

go to major nelson.com or have a look on xbox.com.i havent rechecked the source eince it was first posted but thats what i seen on major nelson.com

ENNO you probably didn't burn the "pictures" correctly.

I allways burn stuff on dvdr - it works it has been working since the xbox 1 so.....
