So you got an Xbox 360 as part of your mad holiday loot, but your mom didn't know which game to buy you so she got you a $60 (usd) gift card, and now you need to figure out how to spend it.
Fear not, the Gamerscore team is here to help! Sara, Nelson and I are going to give you our suggestions for Xbox 360 Must-Buys.
Nelson is up to bat first:
I've made it one of my missions in life (after teaching the world to trust robots), to literally get the most bang for my buck. If you ignore the potential interpretations of that phrase, you will read on to find excellent gaming advice.
If I was wandering into a store, with that new 360 smell all over me, I'd head straight for the Platinum Hits section. $60 is likely to secure you a copy of Call of Duty 2 (http://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/c/callofduty2/) and Lego Star Wars II (http://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/l/legostarwarssaga/). You will also have enough left over to pay tax, and an impulse purchase of some kind of disgusting fruit Altoids gum. Two is not the magic number, but these are two of the best games I've ever played, one an intense shooter, the other great family fun. I paid *nearly* full price for them. Buy them at their now discounted prices, and appreciate them, or my robot army will destroy you.

Sixty bucks - hmmm - If I got sixty greens, I think I would buy new clothes for my team since they seem to have a problem in this area. I'm a charitable kind of girl, you know?

I got into a discussion with these guys about how I am not really into RPGs even though I got 1000 gamerpoints in Oblivion (http://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/t/theelderscrollsIVoblivion/) and spent about 120 hours playing it... NO, I DO NOT HAVE A PROBLEM, NELSON. Yes, I know it's an older game and there were some unbelievably good games that came out this year but Oblivion really sucked me in and prevented me from putting down my controller (obviously). So, I will go with that plus a bunch of the extra missions or maybe Assassin's Creed (http://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/a/assassinscreed/)... Wait, maybe Bioshock (http://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/b/bioshock/). Oh, I give up...Any one of those are awesome.
I'm sure you could scrounge up money from a nearby telephone or vending machine should you need to pay the wonderful tax fairies...
Finally, my advice is as follows:
As much as I would love to tell people to go buy two copies of Shadowrun (http://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-AA7-00013-Shadowrun/dp/B000OLSJLC/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1198882388&sr=8-1), I will restrain myself.
Take the $60 gift card from mom, and supplement it with $110 of your own money (c'mon, you got $40 from Grandma, and $20 from your uncle, so you just have to scrounge together another $50. I hear blood plasma is worth more during the winter season!)
I would use that $170 to go get Rock Band. It's the most fun I've had playing video games in a very long time.
