I am traveling to Las Vegas today for the annual Consumer Electronics Show (http://www.cesweb.org/) where Bill Gates will be giving his last Keynote speech. The event kicks off Sunday (tomorrow) night at 6:30pm PT from the Venetian Hotel (http://www.venetian.com/) on the strip in Las Vegas (http://maps.live.com/?v=2&ss=ypid.YN609x40109589&encType=1). Much like last year (http://www.flickr.com/photos/majornelson/349503644/in/set-72157594465786749/), I have a prime seat backstage to record the entire Keynote directly off of the sound board which I will be uploading it as soon as I can to my show stream (http://www.majornelson.com/archive/tags/Blogcast+_2800_MP3_2900_/default.aspx). If you don’t want to wait for the audio, you can watch the briefing live on Microsoft.com (http://www.microsoft.com/ces/) (You’ll need to download Silverlight (http://www.microsoft.com/silverlight/) to watch the event.) I will be also live blogging the event on my Twitter (http://twitter.com/majornelson), so keep an eye on that if text is your thing.
When the show opens, I’ll be kicking out some videos for Xbox.com (http://www.xbox.com/en-US/) and the U.S. version of Inside Xbox. Keep an eye on John, Tony and Chris over at the Gamerscoreblog (http://gamerscoreblog.com/team/default.aspx) who will also be at the show. We will all be taking snaps and sending them up to Flickr (http://www.flickr.com/photos/majornelson/) (Gamerscoreblogs Flickr (http://www.flickr.com/photos/gamerscore/)) and tagging them as CES2008 (http://www.flickr.com/photos/majornelson/tags/ces2008/). I am working on my schedule (which is very tight) to see if we can do a CES Xbox LIVE Member meet-up…if I can pull one together I’ll let you know. If you are attending the show this year, keep and eye out for me as I desperately search for the hottest of the coolness this year at the show. (hint: I am open to suggestions!)
