A 20-year old male was arrested in Spokane, Washington this past weekend for stalking a 15-year old girl he met online playing Halo (the report does not specify which iteration). The accused was from Saratoga Springs, New York, which means by our estimations he drove around 2,600 miles in order to drive past the girl's house and send her a text message.
According to Seattle news outlet KOMO-TV, the parents of the girl caught his license plate number as he passed and called the police. He has been charged with a felony count of stalking. Let this be yet another warning to all online gamers out there: don't give out your personal information, including where you live and your phone number.
I mean, seriously....

i remeber one of the first "late nights" i played COD4. There was some unmistakenable high-pitched squealing and all on the headset. At first, i thought that my wireless headset was acting up, but no, the "guy" on the other end used some words that they probually didnt fully know what they mean, and said that they were in the 7th grade. :D

To be honest the guy is pretty twisted.... But in all honesty, that girl shouldnt be played online without adult supervision AT LEAST or not at all.... Plus I seriously doubt he drove almost 3000 miles unprovoked...

True but now to say 15 year olds shouldn't play online is ludacris cause when you teach your kids how to be safe on the internet or on an online service like live there shouldn't be a problem.
Its something a kid should learn before you even give em acces to a computer that is online enabled...or a console in this case.
Once they have learned it there shouldn't be a problem i do agree he was probably provoked but your not normal if you try to do something like this....especially to a 15 year old girl.

It isnt ludacris to say all 15yr olds should be supervised by parents when playing a Mature rated game...
If your 15 year old girl is doing something on XBL to draw the attention of creeps then you need to reevaluate yourself as a parent...

When you still gotta supervise your kid when he/she is 15 in such a way i agree you should reevaluate yourself as a parrent.
I think when you raised your kids in a good way and learned em everything about the dangers of the internet and trust em i wouldn't be constantly over my 15 year old daughter or son's shoulders.
By then you know what kind of kids your dealing with say you think or well know they arent very responsible then yess i agree they need to be supervised but can you really screen em everytime they get online in a game for creeps like this?
When a parrent doess their job right by the time of 15 a kid should have earned some freedoms by then and you should be able to trust em with that freedom.
