Well it finally happened, my 360, out of nowhere crashed today. It was a long run, I have had it without any problems for well over two years. Today is a sad day. Any helpful words or advise before I contact Microsoft, as I purchased the extended service plan. Funny thing is both of my original xbox's are still going strong. Hope this doesn't happen again.

Sorry to hear that dark, it happened to me too.
Only thing i can think of is for you to try and be patient. It will be a little wait for the box to get to you, and then there to the repair center and back to you

It appears to be 'hardware falure'. They are sending me a shipping box.

Got my shipping box today, but I'm hesitant to return it knowing about problems that it may have when I get it back. Maybe, I'll just use someone Else's receipt and exchange it at Wally World.

They dont put serial numbers on those receipts? :confused:

Ok, got it shipped back today. Let's see what I get back. (I sware if I get a core box I'll throw it out)LOL
Ser. # (last 4) = 1705
MGF. Date = 4-27-2006 (just realized, I got it right off the line, I thought I had it longer)
Type = Premium
Shipped = UPS, on 1-22-2008, Off to Texas.
*ds wishes for a zephyr, but knows that ain't happening*

After you keep your hd. They will either send yours back, or one with out an hd but premium (which is what happened to me).

There are reports of people getting a Core rather than a Premium back. I know it's just a white door, but that just don't look right with my custom faceplate.

Ok, Got my 360 back 2/8/2008. I didn't realize how loud my old one was, the fans and drive on this one are very quite. It is not my original box, it's actually one month older with a different ser#. The over all satisfaction with the repair process was very good. I heard some horror stories with dealing with the repair center, but they must have fixed them. I could understand everyone I spoke with, and found them very helpful. Very impressed with Microsoft willingness to fix the product they put out. If you think about it, they really didn't have to do as much as they have. With that said.... PREPARE TO DIE!!!!!!! COD4 anyone?

Congratulations dark.
You might want to compare the serial numbers, to make sure it's yours. That was how i know i didn't get mine back, the new one had a different serial number.
The one i got back, is louder than my original.
