im building a website and havent coded in a while. is it best to use notepad or a certain program to build it?

Depends on the code you are using ?

HTML
PHP
XML
etc. etc. etc.

For HTML notepad can be good, but profesional programs are always better.

I would go for Dreamweaver if you want to work with XML and PHP, its an expensive program but really worth it!

Or you could get some free php editor!
Frontpage is also always fine for maken HTML Codes!
