360 finally died today.

It's been a great run, though.

The video began dying while in a COD4 match, but it wasn't caused by COD4.

I'm pretty that the on-board video just couldn't take any more.

I just hope that the Fall Update hasn't caused any of this.

Honestly, there are nearly 20 pages of posts on the Xbox.com forums detailing this problem. Here is a link to that thread. This problem NEEDS to get included in the 2-year extension. It IS a hardware failure (on-board video counts as hardware last time I checked).

I dub this the new 'RROD'. It seems that this has been happening since just after Thanksgiving.

Anyone else know what could be up?

Either way, I'll likely be purchasing an Arcade Console or a refurb from EB/Gamestop.

Just got mine back. It went RROD as well. Mine died during COD4 right after they were having those problems with live, it would freeze up. Now I'm sure thats what did it. If you think about it, the 360 is a computer right? when your computer starts freezing up, you can run programs like 'clean-up', 'bug doctor' and such, and that will usually fix it. With the 360 you can do that. They told me it was hardware failure, so that would be covered under the warranty. I think there is a connection with updates and with live issues. Anyway, Good luck and God speed.

Unlucky... Take my advice and get an Elite.. They run much cooler than the 'White 360's'...
