Zipper developing another PS3 SOCOM title

Although there are already two SOCOM titles coming out -- Confrontation for PlayStation 3 and Tactical Strike for PSP -- Zipper Interactive, the original developer of the series, is working on yet another SOCOM title for the PS3, 1UP confirmed.

Unlike Confrontation, which is multiplayer-only, Zipper's title will include both single and multiplayer aspects, much like the series has done so far. The two previously-announced titles are being developed by Slant Six but is reportedly working closely with Zipper on them.

Glad to see SP. Played the first SOCOM and it was great.

So how do you like the Ps3? I'd get one if I had some extra cash.

Pros:

-Well built reliable console.
-Built in Blu-ray.
-Free online gaming.
-USB and Bluetooth device compatable.
-Exclusives like R:FoM and Motorstorm with more on the way.

Cons:

-Price. Sony has to lower it. Period.
-Losing too many exclusives.
-Some multiplatform games look slightly better on "other platforms".
-No rumble but that's coming.
-PSN (online network) has to improve.
-Games have to come out in higher than 720p.

I know I listed more negatives than positives but the negativs can change if sony wakes up before it's too late.

If I had the chance to buy a PS3 again, I would in a heartbeat.

Thanks for asking my opinion. :)

The bluetooth was always screwy for me on Resistance. It would like start spinning me around for no reason.

That did happen in the beginning but I haven't heard about the problem in a while. Must have been resolved.

Another thing I like and I thought I wouldn't is the user replaceable batteries. No worrying about buying batteries. My controllers always eventually wear out anyway. This way I just replace the whole thing eventually.
