Hey all. The majority of the games that I have for the 360 are single player games. I think the only online games I own are Forza 2, Madden 07, LOTR: Battle for Middle Earth 2, and quite a few original Xbox games (Halo 2, Star Wars Battlefronts 2, etc.)

I'm looking into getting a new game that has quite a bit of online play. I really enjoyed Halo 2 (even though I've yet to finish the story mode of both the first and second games ) online, as well as Rainbow 6 (up around the time of Black Arrow). I'm wanting to get something to scratch that itch, and would like some suggestions, pros and cons, what have you.

The games I'm currently looking into are Call of Duty 4, Halo 3, Frontline: Fuel of War and Mass Effect. (Yes one of these things is not like the other, but I'm very interested in Mass Effect.) Based on your experiences with these games, and you could only pick one, which would it be, and why.

Also, if you have a game suggestion that I've not listed, but you think may be worth looking into, please feel free to mention it.

Mass Effect is in the running because I love the Elder Scrolls games, as well as the Knights of the Old Republic games. Most of the information that I've read on Mass Effect makes it seem comparable to those games.

Thanks for the help!

Of Call of Duty 4, Halo 3, Frontline: Fuel of War, Mass Effect I'd say Call of Duty 4. I own all but Frontlines, but I played its demo. Just from what I've experienced:
COD4 has realism, modern weapons, and modern tech
Halo 3 has the supersoldier 1/2 to 1 clip kills, but future tech, and for weapons, some are standard, some are very inventive
Frontlines is COD4 with less realism (Halo style kills)more tech, but farther future, and standard weapons (non-real)
Mass Effect is a great game, even though it's missing multiplayer, with a great system of conversation and relationships.

I'm with CAW4 on this one.

It's all about your preferred gaming style. Actuallt I enjoyed frontlines too but COD has much more maturity.

The Battlefield games however are still a nice to have in the future too.

You can't go wrong with Call of Duty 4.

I concur with my XLN brothers there.. COD4 is an instant classic, and you cant go wrong with a Call of Duty title to begin with. The SP is fantastic, and the MP is the same way.

Forgot to mention I already have the wonderfully fun third person adventure platformer Barbie's Horse Adventures. If you haven't had a chance to pick it up, at least give it a rent.

The flame breath you get on 'Nightmare' on the third stage is totally awesome! ... Wait. Was that out loud? D'oh!
