hi there
gamer from mexico here. just saying hi because.... well, because the system won't stop reminding me to do it  just kidding.
anyways, i noticed there's no gamercard validation (like the one they have in MGC), so i guess i could have said i'm "major nelson" and the system would have accepted it. or maybe i'm wrong...
anyways, cheers.

thanks everyone for their welcoming replies :)
i just saw the GT validation, and i was wondering if it would've been better to do it like MGC does? they send you a private message with a link, if you're really the person that owns that GT you can check the message and click on the link, viola! you're validated. it's pretty much like email validation, but used for your GT.
i don't like the idea of changing my motto for a number for 30 mins until the system picks it up and validates me. maybe im just being too picky, but i think the private message method is better...
cheers.

The MGC way currently requires a manual operation from an administrator. I like to do things automated in the backend.

ohh, didn't know that. so there's no way to send a private or console message with the xbox API?
if that's the case then i bet the MGC way requires the admin to send the private message... hmm, interesting stuff.
cheers.
