I was very surprised to find out Quake Wars arrived at my local Gamestop yesterday as I had totally forgot about this game. The lack of a marketing campaign and virtually non-exisistent advertising for the game made me forget it was even in production. I've always been a Quake fan and this game is a real departure in style for the series. I compare it somewhat in style to WARHAWK on the PS3 and also to SHADOWRUN in that you can switch between types of characters (medic, soldier, covert ops, engineer) to complete objectives. It has a single player campaign that is very similar to the multiplayer except you will be completing most of the objectives whereas in multiplayer alot of times you will be helping and aiding your team to complete the missions. This is by no means your run of the mill shooter. I really like it. It's something entirely new for the 360 and just amazed at the lack of publicity it's getting. My local game store only received two copies for sale. I wrote a full review of the game here: http://www.xboxlivenation.com/community/blog.php?b=402 if you want to know more details about it.
