I started off buying all of my Xbox 360 games. Then I went with Gamefly for almost a year. That was ok but I had times that i had no new games to play! So now I am renting with Blockbuster and it not all that great either! Really only have newer games with very limited supplies. So do I buy and empty my wallet and play the games i want? Or do i ewnt and get the hit or miss proposition? Such is the question to every gamer! What your opinion?

Im having trouble understanding your question....are you complaining there are no new "good" games out?
or you just dont want to take a chance and pick up a bad game??

I myslef dont rent games...I get opinions from other people and gaming sites like IGN. 9 times out of 10 they are spot on so I can save myslef some cash by not buying crappy games.

Example number one....After being hyped up for Haze on the PS3 I wanted to get it, I waited for reviews and opinions and they where all negative...so I didnt buy it.

I just watch trailers from the marketplace or try a demo before I buy. I have never rented a 360 game yet..

I think its best to buy your games. Gamefly is handy but I find myself rarely using my account. Personally I am a collector, so if the money is right at the time, I will buy almost every Xbox 360 game that comes out. Its worth having the games to go back and play anytime you want.

I buy my games, but DANG that's expensive. Especially when you buy mega-bombs like Dark Messiah of Might and Magic (which I did) :(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(

I'm going to try out Gamefly as soon as I finish moving. I think maybe that will help a lot when I'm trying to decide whether or not to buy a game. Renting games from Gamefly is a good way to test out a game to see if you like it, I think. Buying a game you really enjoy is worth it!

I use gamefly to play some of the older games that I missed, or games I'm just not sure of. Some games like King Kong are so short, renting is the only option. If I feel a game is worth my money after that, I will pay full price and buy it brand new so the developers still make money(they make nothing on used games so I don't buy them at all.

I have been renting games for the past few months, which suited because i was either completing my bought games too quickly, getting stuck or just getting bored with them (usually the latter :D). I also couldn't afford to collect games anymore like i used to so i would trade my games for new ones, the problem being that you don't get back what you paid for them. The only pain with renting is that i'm quickly getting through my 'wanted' list! Personally i think that renting is best for people who play a lot or achievement addicts.

I've been using Gamefly for about a year. I really like renting, it saves me a lot of cash and I'm still able to play all the new releases and old classics. I'm not an "achievement addict" ;) either. I'll still buy a game using the keep it option if i think the game is really good. I Get a better price and they send you the box and manual. I don't collect them though. When I'm through with the game, i trade it back in for credit towards GF. All in all, the ability to try before you buy, being able to buy them at a reduced prices, and being able to trade-in are all why I use gamefly.

I've been a member since 2006 and I could not have said it better. The addition of the trade-in feature has made GameFly an even better alternative. And since I have joined they have added 3 new distribution centers. Now my gaves arrive at GameFly 2 days after I mail them allowing me to get the next game on my Queue even faster.
