If a customer has an issue indicated by the three flashing red lights, Microsoft will repair the console free of charge—including shipping—for three years from the console’s purchase date.
For all their faults, they really make up for it in the public relations area. Spot on M$!

Ok this is obviously now unfair for me, I purchased an EXTENDED warranty so 2 yrs additional to my 1 yr for an extra £60 so if Microsoft are now offering a 3yr warranty for everyone what about this that paid for extended warranties?
Or is this new warranty for USA only?

Guess its something right not as good as not having a console that breaks all the time but hey i take it.
Its better then calling microsoft when you get the red lights (in my case again) and hear hey im sorry your warranty has expired buy a new xbox 360 and have a nice day.....

your warranty covers everything....you could drop your 360 down a stairs and get a new one....but this only covers the RROD!!

No it doesnt thats called INSURANCE and thats what GAME have been offering, the form you get with the 360 to fill in only extends the warranty it does not cover it for any fault of your own like what you have described.
I would be very suprised if it did...

wops you are right, got a bit confused but your warranty is better because if your grafix card melts(no red lights for that)or drive brakes down ect...it will be covered i wont!

Either way... say your 360's dvd drive fails...
That I do not think, but wish I would be, included in the new 3 year deal. Basically if something besides the red lights happens to it, it will be covered.
OR
You can call them up, tell them you dont want it anymore, and to refund you the money in light of all of this. I bet you they will do it. If your that upset with it, id do that.
