They have been lowering blu-ray player costs, which would reflect this, but sony doesn't like to lower the price of anything they are very cheap with consoles, the ps2 is still a lot.

Will people still buy it though? That is still the biggest question. Most people buy a 360 because it is still cheaper and because of live.

Its still too much for me because by the time you get the HDMI cord, and a headset its back up to 600 bucks... when it gets down to 300 bucks... ill start to think about it. I just dont need a Blue Ray player yet, and when I do... Microsoft could have one out by then... heh

But one thing I am seeing is that since it has the Blue Ray, alot of places like Best Buy are including 5 free blue ray titles. That could also make it worth it as well, as long as you can pick the 5.

This is good for Sony, but im too cheap... lol... I got my 360 for a little over 300 and had a hard time doing that! LOL

$499 for 60gb and $599 for 80gb emmm $100 for 20gb of space? Oh but then you get Motorstorm which is quite cheap to buy nowadays isnt it?

Anyways a price cut is good for the PS fans out there but for gamers the 360 is still the one to go for imo.

But then if you got the money for both get both like me :D

I got mine but my cousin is looking into buying one, now that his x360 got the 3 red lights, hes looking into buying a PS3 good news :D

How is that good news? You will be trading in a superb gaming console for a media center computer basically that is lacking in choice of games and has 360 ports that look very bad along with a poor online service.

Wanna know how bad PSN is? Well you know that game F.E.A.R? It does NOT support online voice chat in multiplayer :rolleyes:
