With the E3 Media and Business Summit (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/E3) just around the corner, and the long holiday weekend (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Independence_Day_%28United_States%29) here in the US I thought I’d take a moment to let you know that there will not be a show this Sunday. Instead (and depending on the weather here in the Northwest (http://weather.msn.com/local.aspx?wealocations=wc:USWA0367&q=Redmond%2c+WA)) I’ll be enjoying the local fireworks displays, and taking a day trip up to the San Juan Islands (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/San_Juan_Islands), just north of Seattle. If the weather decides to not support my outdoor plans, you’ll find me working on my Gamerscore (http://www.xbox.com/en-US/community/events/liveliberty/) (most likely behind the controls of a tank in Battlefield: Bad Company (http://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/b/badcompany/), or brushing up my Halo 3 skills to prepare for the arrival of Cold Storage (http://www.bungie.net/projects/halo3/asset_thumb_viewer.aspx?at=59&cc=21) on Monday.)
Since E3 is a little more than a week away we’ve all been hard at work preparing for the event and the Xbox press briefing, which is Monday July 14th. Keep an eye on Xbox.com (http://www.xbox.com/en-US) and Inside Xbox (http://www.xbox.com/en-US/community/insidexbox/default.htm?WT.svl=nav) for behind the scenes coverage of the briefing and all the weeks activity. As usual, I’ll have the audio of the briefing posted shortly after the show.

P.S. So long Sonics (http://msn.foxsports.com/nba/story/8286654/Sonics-released-from-Seattle-lease,-will-move), it’s been nice knowing you. Come to think of it, the same thing happened to The Whalers (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hartford_Whalers) when I lived in Connecticut. Sad to see it happen.
