possible death of an xbox

since every time i call xbox im on hold for liek 20 mins and get tired of it.. and hang up, i dont know for sure.. but this cant be good.. especially when the screen turns black and all i see is the black screen and hear the fan buzzin along.. the lights green too ;]

Yeah mine has been turning on, but it gets that freezing and discoloration also. I am going to try and call Monday, I guess after that annoucement it is near impossible to get a hold of them.

haha yea.. i think the 1st pic looks pretty good.. looks almost real ;] and yea.. i bought the vision camera for rainbow six.. and i occasionalyy use it for uno but yea.. not really all that much.

That happened to my 360 first time it broke it was a few minutes normal then that ,then i turned it off then it was normal again for a few minutes.

And eventually i got a black screen with stripes in it then it did nothing.

Me thinks your grafix card is about to melt....I know a guy who had the same issue and one day he was on private chat and his card melted...he was still able to speak and everyone else saw him playing gears but he couldnt :p...it has to be shipped man!

Gebbie,

Try to run your connection in composite and not component. That may reset the lot


shut down, disconnect cabling, set cable to composite, restart screen and Xbox and check everything

If OK try to reverse, disconnect again reset cable reboot.

Also rebooting once without cable and HDD connected sometimes helps

The xbox guy said its bad and theyre going to send me the aptly named 'coffin' for said defective xbox. The funny thing is though that today was the LAST DAY of my warranty.

Convienent huh?

3yr only applies to 3red light error.. mine just freezes and the lights stay green:confused:
