Characters looks great, but everything but that seems to go blah, fire doesn't look realistic at all. Seems they put all the power into the characters. I think it has the best looking characters of all time, but everything else seems to fall.

yeh lightning and explosions are bad but the shadowing and characters are amazing!!

Though the gameplay looks like a quicker gears of war doesn't it? Seems cover is a big thing in this game. Just like gears.

It still isn't as amazing as other games, this game has the character models, but it seems to fail in graphics in other areas. Lets see how this ends up.

killzone was horrible...i hope they improve the gameplay and movement on this one!

That's the thing people are getting excited for a game that was horrible, I don't think the developers are going to change the style of the game either, so lets get ready for a pretty game that plays horrible.

Im just gonna enjoy the moment and watch it again im pretty sure im gonna enjoy this game when its out...

Guerilla showed with killzone liberation they can get it right trust me i have more then hundred hours in that game and its still fun.

If they dont get rushed for a deadline its all gonna be fine and since the release isn't this holiday season i dont think they are getting rushed.

I think it will be rushed, the developers don't have the passion Bungie has with Halo. Most fps games are being made to be Halo killers, that is what Killzone 2 is about, I'm sure if Sony didn't need some kind of Halo killer Killzone would of never been made. Bungie has the passion and the story there aren't many games out there that are that way and are shooters, Gears did somethign where they et out to be their own not Halo Killer and it is nothing like Halo which is nice. It seems like Killzone 2 is trying to be a Gears and Halo killer, it has the need to be in cover like Gears. Sony should just change their slogan to "We Steal, That's The Sony Way".

I think Sony only set themselfs up for a bit of a let down with this. It's funny how people forget how hyped this was when the cg trailer was released. That got alot of people claiming victory for PS3. Now here we are with an in-game trailer and it falls short of the target video that Sony claimed was all done in-game when that was a flay out lie. I dont think this looks as good as what Sony wanted us to believe it to be. Now about the flame effects, I would agree that they dont impress. They look just the same as Layer. Now the character models are very well done. The vehicles look good as well. I just have an issue with the particle effects and explosions. When you're presenting a high energy fast paced action game, youd want the explosions to look as good as the rest of the game. Hopefully it plays better than KZ1. Which shouldnt be too hard to accomplish.

More info am i reading from two of the developers from guerilla.

Let me translate it.


*The game is still in the PRE-pre alpha phase so not just pre alpha but Pre-pre alpha so dont say hey look texture popup lots of effects will still be added and/or improved

*the animations are still not finished so it will look much much better in the final version.

*Tommorow the trailer will come out on the Playstation network

*Killzone will shock (whatever he means with that i dont know)

* In fall more info on the multiplayer modes will be released

And that would be it i think i translated it correctly.

I just saw full trailer from press conference, lets say its a pretty game with bad gameplay. It looks just like any other fps. Sorry Sony but you will never have the style and story Halo and Gears has.

there might be another reason to get a PS3 then, trailer looks awesome and gameplay seems to be better than the original.

I gotta agree with tbone...as amazing ad it looks you gotta wonder what makes this so different than others?gears had the chainsaw lancer frag tags and curb stomp....like i dont see anything new from killzone 1?

Eh just didnt look all too great.... explosions looked 2d and seemed like there was no backgrounds.... just black jaggies and blur...

Sorry, but I can't honestly believe a gameplay movie that doesn't show a HUD or even a reticle. How the hell do you aim without a reticle? It seemed to have the same scripted camera movements like the origional CG trailer. And as far as the gameplay goes, the only thing new to KZ appears to be the ability to take cover, and I can allready do that in Gears.

Like I said the only thing graphically that looks good in this are the character models and the lighting everything is blah. Good try Sony, but you just have another wannabe shooter on your hands. You can't take a crappy franchise and make it into something it never was.
