Blue Dragon Demo = AWESOME

Man... I have been waiting almost 2 years now... basically ive been waiting since it was announced. Blue Dragon is the reason why I own a 360, and when I heard the Demo was coming out either last night or sometime today, I was glued to my 360. When it popped up... I shed tears of joy. Downloaded the 1.1 gig Demo... played one of the 1 hour dungeons... and all I can say is... the end of August is not coming any faster.

For anyone who played any of the Final Fantasy games, you will notice tons of similarities... which you should seeing that Mystwalker is basically formed from the best of FF and Dragon Warrior. The look will remind you of Dragon Warrior, while the game play and even music will remind you of FF.

I loved the first part of the Demo. Loved it hands down, and I cant wait to get my pre-order. All I know is, when it does come out... I will not be sharing the 360... thats for sure... LOL

True it rocks man more then i expected im loving the demo graphics look great though i gotta say the environments could have looked better they feel a little empty in some ways.

From my experience:

- Cliche characters (with sub par uninspired voice acting)
- Music was meh (and the boss battle music was terrible)
- Dialogue was cheesy and totally unoriginal
- Graphics were clean, but utterly simplistic (which could be a positive or a negative depending on your taste)
- Level design was totally uninspired and bland
- Battle system was typical run of the mill type stuff (and pretty bland)
- On the positive side, at least there weren't any random encounters

All in all it feels like an uninspired game. Although I didn't expect much going into this, so I can't really say I'm disappointed.

uh, the battle system is actually pretty new. you have to chain them together, this is also why there are no random encounters. at least from what i've read. i don't have the time to learn controls for a demo that i can only play for an hour. i think it's a great concept, but i'm going to play the game, i don't need a demo to convince me to. lol

Thats what bugs me the most about the game its the empty environments. Even on some later level screenshots the environments look boring.

IMO Blue Dragon is way to overhyped. I've deleted it from my HDD within 5 minutes, this games was very dissapointing IMO. Maybe í'm to old for this game. ;)

True but i dont look forward to switching discs at all maybe im crazy i just thought such things we're from the past.

But oblivion maybe had some glitches,framedrops and really long loading screens but that didn't matter so much cause it was so big how could developpers not have overlooked some glitches.

But hey just means i can save more money for september and pick up blue dragon somewhere in the far future maybe.

First up Hi everyone,
Well I won't get to play B.D at all, it has 4th person view with a 360 camera swing.
These types of camera angles give me motion sickness.
I was v-p'ed off as I too have been waiting a long time 4 this one.

I also won't be able to play Overlord 4 the same reason... boo hoo :(

I thought the demo was very good for the most part, the only concern I have is the boss battle theme.

I'm not keen on the fact that the vocals within the song never change throughout the entire game, at least they could have provided alternate variations to induce more variety..
