Published July 10, 2007

The Xbox® platform of hardware and accessories is thriving with American consumers spending more money on Xbox 360™ than on any other next-generation platform. At E3, Microsoft announced European availability of the premium Xbox 360™ Elite starting August 24, and unveiled several new additions to the hardware and accessories lineup for Xbox 360, all available this holiday season:

Xbox 360 Halo 3 Special Edition Console —In anticipation of this year's largest blockbuster gamer launch, Microsoft will offer the Xbox 360 Halo 3 Special Edition console. The console features an authentic Spartan green and gold finish and comes with matching Xbox 360 Wireless Controller, 20GB Hard Drive, Headset, Play & Charge Kit, and exclusive Halo® 3 Gamer Pics and Theme available via Xbox LIVE® download. Available in September.
Xbox 360 Messenger Kit —Chatting with friends and family on Xbox LIVE and Windows XP and Windows Vista®-based PCs can now be done using the Xbox 360 Messenger Kit. This device easily connects to any Xbox 360 controller and provides thumb-stroke chat capabilities while maintaining gameplay functionality in one easy-to-hold device. The Xbox 360 Messenger Kit includes a Chatpad and Xbox 360 Headset, and will be available beginning September 6. ERP $29.99 (U.S.).
Xbox 360 Wireless Controllers available in festive new colors—Gamers can express their identity with new pink, dark blue and light blue (available in Europe and Japan) Xbox 360 Wireless Controllers. These new colors will be available in October. ERP $49.99 (U.S.).

Well some years back I bought what I thought was the greatest thing since sliced bread. The Webtv internet Browser for your televison. I mean it was the best. I could lay in my bed get cookie crumbs everywhere and browse, check email and pass out. Has to be on my top ten favorite all time gadgets at the time. Anyways, I really thought when I was at CES 2007 for an exhibition match I would see something about it. I mean they are now owned by Microsoft. I thought for sure they would integrate it into the 360 somehow. Obviously they will make it an add-on that we all will end up buying just to have it even though we all have PCs. If Xbox did release something like that, who here would buy it. I hate to say it, but I'll be in line for that one. LOL.

They did have plans to have a Xbox 360 pc when they were in the planning stages, but backed out and just went with the console alone. It would of been great to have a 360 that could play pc games and run windows, but I guess it just didn't work out.
