Oh boy here we go. Looks like they didnt learn form the last game as far as graphics are concerned. Sure they have 1000's of colors, but they're 1000's of shades of grey. I thought it was in black and white till Arc Cannon was activated. I will say to it's credit, the framerate is spectacular. Unfortunately there wasn't anything in this clip to show me something new to the series. Unlike the first railer that had a more produced feel to it, this one is a segment of gameplay start to finish. I noticed the heavy blur when things got close to hide pixelation. There was also nothing present to simulate the feel of an actual war like Call Of Duty 4 does. With all the hype surrounding this game it just looks like a standard FPS.

I was impressed again.....the colors mostly being shades of grey is just the style makes sense if you ask me war isn't supposed to be very colorfull anyway.

This game looks so generic. There is nothing special about this game. The barb wire looks horrible , no detail to it. It seems like all they went for was big levels, and boring gameplay. It seemed like when he was trying to blow up that spire he had no problem doing it, no enemies attacking him during it. I know this game is going to look good in some aspects, but the gameplay will suck. I really hate the color choosing in this, it looks worse than how Gears looked with the color, because Gears could make it work, but it's not working with this game.

Yeah but that one also had its own different style when you look at the aliens they are a lot more different, less human looking where the Helghast are a humanoid race.

But there are other reasons for the less colorfull display of war the helghast are a fascist army the first emporer of the helghast Scolar Visari started ethnic cleansing programs throughout their entire system of planets.

At least thats what i learned about the story wich obviously has used certain things from what led up to WWII wich is probably why they went with the grimm style.

But allright guess not everyone diggs this style it just seems to fit the game though at least thats what i think.

Ya killzone has never interested me, so of course this latest gameplay video did nothing to impress me. Then again it is Sony's answer to halo, another game I have no interest in so go figure.

This game looks so generic. There is nothing special about this game.

The game actually has a really great cover mechanic described like Rainbow 6: Vegas' but its all in first person. The environments are fully destructible so unlike in Gears and Rainbow you can't hide behind a single piece of cover for a long time. And about the color its actually a filter.

During the demo of the game the developer removed the filter and everything became sunny and colorful, so you could be able to do this at any point in the game. Sort of like GOW's 4 brightness options.

The game looks amazing.

Damn so that was that quick scene that didn't make sense to me the coveringsystem is in first person thats cool and kind of makes things more exciting i think.

When I was talking generic I was talking gameplay. The gameplay looks very boring. It looks just like every halo wannabe title that is out there. People are gonna be deispaointed from this game and there is no doubt about that, it may not be about graphics, but it will be about gameplay and story.

The story of Killzone was really good actually, the Helghast is a really cool enemy to fight against. Its not as deep as Halo's story though but it is still very good.
As for the gameplay if its like the first Killzone it should be solid. It wasn't the gameplay that made Killzone a mediocre game its was the technical issues that held it back. The framerate was horrible in the first game and the environments were bland. But they seemed to have fixed those problems for the sequel.
I don't think Killzone 2 will be as good as Halo 3, but i also don't think it will be a disappointment.

I got three words for you, First Person Football.
If 2K5 showed us anything, is that the FPS view completely lacks any perifferal vision. So while in the scheme of football this was generaly explained by the fact that your helmet blocked your view from the sides. But in a FPS scenario this will not work well "if" the camera stays in first person mode the whole time. Just think about how fast the camera will be whipping around going in and out of cover. Yikes! Not to mention the fact that when your getting flanked on your sides you're escentialy blind. I would expect it to pop out to 3rd person like R6 does. Then again, that would only be new to the series and not a new innovative idea. Maybe I'm just bitter about being lied to by Sony. "Yes KZ 2 is running in real-time on PS3 hardware." Bastard liars.

They said it will remain in First Person while in cover and that just adds to the realism. I'm sure they have figured out a way to make it work. They also said you don't need to take cover if you don't want to. you can play it like Halo if you want just run and gun. And the game looks pretty close to what the trailer did.
