All,

As you probably have noticed I put in place a default gamercard engine to render some custom cards.

No biggy but it looks a bit cooler. No reason to have this tested just dump something in if you notice an issue.

Cheers

I will enlarge these functions of course with a full blown Gamercard factory where you can build your own.

That application will be ready for testing soon.

So Beta people get ready:D

I like this. The other is soo widespread this is kinda unigue for a site to have their own.

Just use the gamercard factory to render you the code. The first in the list is the default XLN one.

The community itself uses a separate engine to make it uniform for everybody

I think that the biggest fault of the current gamercard is the small postage stamp size area given to the gamer picture. That is the main reason that I haven't purchased an XBOX Live Camera yet. It's utterly ridiculous how the text in the the gamercard has more space than the gamer picture itself! I mean you buy this camera to let your friends see your photo on the friend's list and unless you have a 40" TV you don't clearly see much!

The camera is more for games that support the camera... taking pictures is just a plus... even then... those pictures are much bigger too. Yeah... the pics for the gamercards are small... but its not a big deal.

He means when you take a picture of yourself to set as your Gamerpicture, you to becan't hardly see yourself. I took about 90 pictures of myself, and I couldn't make out anything. So then I just took a closeup of a thing on a pizza box I had. Gamerpictures are definitely too small... but... I don't care, I don't spend enough time on my 360 bothered by it.

I knew what he was talking about... I was just saying the main reason for the camera wasnt for that.

A simple solution would be to enlarge the space given to gamerpics or resize that specific area within the gamercard so that it's not dwarfed out of proper proportion by other items within the gamercard. Afterall, the next most important item on the gamercard, after the gamertag of course, should be the gamerpic. Easy fix, right?

You could always make your own gamercard as well...

I have a custom made one, but dont use it on here. You can go to http://dev.livecard.net/index.php and create your own to how you see fit. For here I dont think it will happen, because im running at 1024x768... and if it got bigger, it wouldnt look too cool. lol

But yeah.... here is the one I made just to show you what all you can do.

Its nothing special... but there are a lot of options you have to create your own to how you see fit.
