Better edit function and new message notification

It would be nice to see better editing functions for posts we have submitted. Often times I come to a post I wrote and I would like to edit it, however I realize I can't since the board won't let me. I'm only allowed to edit my own posts directly after submitting them.

Also if we could have some sort of notification as to when we get new messages in our inbox. I never notice when I have new messages since it is hidden at the top in small text.

You should be able to click on edit at the bottom of your posts to change them.

If you click on User CP, Edit Options then scroll down a bit and you will see the section for private messaging and check Show New Private Message Notification Pop-up. or you can have an email sent when you get a new PM. HTH :D

Ya that only works directly after posting. If I come back to the topic later, I don't have that option (I only have "quote", "multiquote", and "reply").

There is a time limit on how long you can edit your own posts.


I can extend it but I do think this function has it's merrit to avoid posts being changed after longer periods of time.

Also the ability to delete your posts would be handy... i guess.. lol

when the site was first out if you hit edit , and then on the edit screen hit edit again it asked you if you wanted to delete :D
