It works great and the HD-DVD's look great on it. LOL.
I do :)..to be honest I cant find anything I dislike about it except for the external power supply, but other than that i got it at a really cheap price from america..it works fine since HD DVD's are region free(I ordered The matrix from ebay and its not out in Europe yet)HD DVD is an all around better format than blu ray for its picture, sound and extra features...whats not to like?

Me smells a troll...
I myself do not have an HD DVD, and I don't plan to get one (or any such device) until the winner of this format war is determined.

Haha well that just depends disc per disc the earlier blu-ray movies some had some bad blu-ray translations true.
But the ones i got look and sound great when you actually think the sound comes from somewhere in your room at certain points then you cant complain about it but thats just me.
Also that was just without surround speakers only the ones on my tv cause my surround is hooked up to my PC.
Also how many exclusive Movie companies still support only HD-dvd just universal right?
I dont wann get this into a HD DVD VS blu-ray thing but they have very similar pictures both go to 1080p and have some great features and i will also be getting a ps3 as you know so i aint no fanboy
Also how many blu-ray players are playing the matrix in high def 0 right?

Well... if your gonna make those comments... lets do this...
Go check out reviews for the 300 for both Blue Ray and HD DVD... all ive read... they prefer the HD DVD version. Better picture, better sound, tons more extra's. At least thats what ive read.
As far as comparision... personally... they look the same, but for me... price is the big factor. For me to already have a 360 and just drop 200 bucks for an High Definition player is huge. Yeah... in the end I payed 600 bucks.... but I got the 360 to play games at first and had no intention to get an HD player OR choose sides. But there was two movies that made me decide which one to get, and believe it or not... the first was Batman Begins. Just loved how the Blacks looked Black. I thought it was the best HD Movie I have seen. Then the other... believe it or not was TMNT. I know its coming out on both BR and HD.... but guess what... I have a 360 and its only a 200 buck addition VS. at the time the cheapest was a PS3 at 600 bucks. So to me the choice was clear.
Right now its all about preference and affordability if thats a word. The only movie series I would want a BR for is the Saw Franchise. But I refuse to buy a PS3 just to play movies, because I dont want a PS3 since all of their exclusives are coming to the 360... especially with the rumor of MGS4 coming months after the PS3 version. And a standaline player is still around 500 to 600 bucks. Just too much.... even standalone players for the HD DVD format is now around 200 bucks.
The fact is... HD DVD is technically winning the race. Technically they are not because Sony is including every PS3 sold as a BR player... sure... you can, but not everyone is using it for that purpose. Thats why for every HD DVD player for the 360 is sold, we know that the 360 is being used for that purpose. Thats the difference. I honestly do not care which one wins, because if BR does win... guess what... Microsoft said they would release a BR Player, and why not? But if BR loses... I think the PS3 has a lot more to loose than the 360.
As for my HD DVD Player... I got it to make my VHS's look MUCH BETTER!

Well not everyone might be using it for that purpose but i am besides with the ability to play blu-ray movies on my PS3 without having to buy something seperate for it why would i have to buy the HD-dvd addon wich i have no room for.
Thats what it all comes down to in my argument for myself reason 1 i have no room for it reason 2 i allready have the ability to play a next gen format.
And for me the movies that are out allready on HD-DVD but not on blu-ray i can wait for.
BTW yeah i love it when black looks black on underworld evolution it looks so great also you allways really notice the eyes In HD.
