No Gears of War Expansion for 360
PC gamers assured exclusive goods.

July 26, 2007 - Gears of War is on its way to PC with some new missions and a map editor. The question on the minds of every Xbox 360 owner is whether or not these additions will make their way to Microsoft's console. In an interview with IGN PC, Epic's Lead Designer Cliff Bleszinski and Gears PC Producer Rod Fergusson dashed the dreams of millions of fans.
"There is no plan to provide the PC exclusive content to Xbox 360 gamers for a number of technical reasons," Fergusson told IGN. "One is simply the size and scope of the new content which would be difficult to deliver as an update. But more importantly, Gears of War for Windows was not created with the same version of Unreal Engine 3 as Gears of War for 360. We wanted to take advantage of all the latest and greatest optimizations and features that are constantly being added to UE3 and as such, this new content is not easily compatible with the Xbox 360 version."
PC gamers will have the benefit of playing some new story missions. One of these pits them against the almighty Brumak. What the eff is a Brumak? It's the massive "monster tank" that you ran from in Gears of War 360, but never fought. Well, on PC, you will go toe-to-toe with the Brumak.
Exclusive to PC: Serious ass-kicking!Many who played Gears were disappointed that they never had the chance to face off with the Brumak. "Way back in the day we had hoped to fight the Brumak on the Xbox 360," Cliffy B said. "But once we did our first schedules for the original title it became obvious that the beast would have to wait for later... Now, thankfully, he's able to be revealed in his full prime."
Gears of War PC does not feature cross-platform play between 360 and PC. But what about the chance for cross-platform multiplayer battles in the itching-to-be-announced Gears of War 2? Fergusson gave an expectedly coy response to our query: "I'm sorry, I've never heard of that game."

Sucks, I was hoping they were going to give that stuff as a download when they showed it off at the conference. Well maybe if Gears of War 2 is annouced then maybe it won't matter anymore.:D
