Halo 3 Will Support 4-Player Co-Op

According to a recent Bungie announcement in Amsterdam, Halo 3 will indeed have 4-player co-op. One player will take the role of Master Chief, another will be The Arbiter and the last two (the suckers) will be Elites. Whether or not Bungie will be renaming "Elite" to "kid not picked in gym class" is still unknown.

I'm suddenly looking forward to Halo 3 a lot more...though finding three people to play through the title may be a bit tough. Now to commence my work on self-cloning. I knew there was a purpose to my bountiful blessing of body hair.

Will it be online though? That is still what I think one of the biggest mysteries of the upcoming game. I don't know if they are going to be able to get it working by the release, if not I'm sure they will make it as an update like they have said in the past couple articles.

I just want it to be online i don't care about 4 player co-op if it means me sharing my screen with 3 other people.

Make this an edit, this is online. They were announcing that it will have 4-player online co-op.

If it's lan, which it is, he should still need another disk for another 360.

i'm holding my breathe until bungie officially announces this. how often do they announce something in another country without even putting it on their site?

also, what is up with playing as the elites. when did this game become about that? maybe i really should beat halo 2 to see what all the fuss is about....

they did post this on their site, take a look at the front page of XLN, Stony posted the whole article. This is just a shortened version of what they said.

This puts Halo 3 back on my radar. After a fairly lackluster Beta, the only thing that could raise Halo 3 above the crowd is online co-op. Actually, this just places Halo 3 back in the crowd, since most decent shooters this generation have this feature. Anyway, this is very good news regardless. :)
