Hey all,
I recently bought an Elite and tried to hook it up to my Olevia 232V HD LCD TV through HDMI but have encountered some trouble. Every time I hook it up to HDMI I get an error displayed on my tv saying "Invalid Format".. I called Xbox CS and they told me my tv must only support DMI even though it has a HDMI port... Anyone have any suggestions or help?
well does it have a digital media interface?

Did you try adjusting the settings on your TV?
I would contact the olevia.com support as it might be fixed if you upgrade the firmware on your tv but I highly recommend you don't do that before contact the support channels to guide you through and to get confirmation of the possible fix by upgrading the firmware using the USB interface

May I make a suggestion? And this goes for everyone...
Stop buying unknown brands just because its cheap doesnt mean its good.
Buy known brands like Sony, Samsung, Hitachi etc they are worth paying the extra money trust me.

But he got his in the elite box....and on a 32" TV the difference would not be noticeable one bit.anything under 32" little details like that are not noticed!

Err I am completely confused on what you just said...:o
Elite box?? Erm he has an ELITE and the HDMI doesnt work and the brand of TV he has doesnt sound like a major brand so his tele *could* be faulty i.e. the HDMI socket could be faulty.
Thats why I say stick with top brands, always pay that little bit more and get something that is better :)

I dont mind all too much as component works fine... and at 450 dollars the picture is amazing (to me) so I would pay the money even without HDMI support, just was trying to see if I could sweeten the deal ;)
