I don't have a "Top Games of All Time" list, but if I had to name a few of my favorites the Max Payne Series would be up there. Max Payne and Max Payne 2 are probably the only single-player-only games that I beat 10+ times.
The noir graphic novel cutscenes, gripping story, and style just gripped me (not to mention that entering a room filled with 20 bad-guys, and killing them all in stylish ways makes you feel like the ultimate bad-arse.)

Tony and I downloaded John Woo's Stranglehold demo the other day, not really knowing what to expect. I have to say I was EXTREMELY pleased with what I played, and I cannot wait until the game is released.
Stranglehold reminds me of games like Max Payne, The Punisher, and Freedom Fighters. Put those in a blender, and throw in John Woo films such as Hard Boiled, The Killer, and A Better Tomorrow, and you have an indication of the gameplay in Stranglehold.
The environment is very destructible, there is a cover system, there is "Tequila Time" (bullet-time/slo-mo), and you can interact with things such as dining carts, and stairway railings to pull off some VERY cool moves.
Without giving too much away, once you get the Precision Aiming power, shooting folks in different body parts gets different reactions out of them. Some of them look very painful...
This is the type of game that descriptions don't do justice - do yourself a favor and download the demo. PC gamers don't fret - the PC demo drops later this month.
