XLN Beta: Community Twit

VBNow is a twitter.com like application for vbulletin communities created by me as I'm not really happy with the integration twitter.com uses so I build something similar for vbulletin.

Of course XLN gets a special Live Version

VBNow allows members of the community to send updates about moments in their lives just by telling what they actually are doing or planning.

It also allows people to add friends and directly access their entries. Friends that are tracked by others are also visible.

The core is formed by the public timeline.

It includes automated image verification and flood control.

Because XLN is Live oriented I added a feature that adds the last Xbox Live status prefilled in the entry form. Feel free to change the text by simply overwriting it.

Moderators have edit/delete powers on all entries. Users only on their own.
The XLN listings use the Xbox Live Gamertile and include a link to the live profile too.

To access the application click "Community Twit (http://www.xboxlivenation.com/community/vbnow.php)" in the main menu.

On the application there is a help file available by clicking the question mark.

RSS feeds are also available.

No need for twitter anymore. It's all here local on XLN and integrated completely.

I've written this from scratch. I'll be adding other stuff so you can display things on other sites.

RSS feeds are already there. For the whole community and per user.

Some new features are added.

If you click a name or tile to go to the VBNow profile of a member the gamercard, Live friend request button and live message button are visible.


VBNow has a friends function, if you added someone as a tracked friend in VBNow his/her entries will now be highlighted in the main public timeline (Good suggestion Zaam).

Did you know that when viewing a certain profile in the VBNow application you can add that person as friend.

By doing that the entries will be highlighted in the public timeline and on your own profile you get an overview of your friends.
