Wii Passes Xbox 360 In Worldwide Sales

It happened. Even with a year headstart, the Xbox 360 has been eclipsed by the Nintendo Wii in sales. According to independant tracker Video Game Chartz, the Wii just passed the 360 this week. Gotta numbers fetish? Here's the breakdown:

Wii: 10.57 Million sold (3.46M Japan, 4.24M America, 2.87M Others)
Xbox 360: 10.51 Million sold (0.43 Japan, 6.75 America, 3.32 Others)
PS3: 4.32 Million sold (1.13M Japan, 1.87 America, 1.32 Others)

Yes, that same info is directly above in handy chart form. So... Japan's a big gapping hole for Microsoft, huh? Always has been!

Might be in sales but in good games 360 is still ahead of it in quality........

Its a total paradox......lacks good games but doess great in sales....go figure...

The Nintendo system attract alot of younger generation kids.. cause they can play poke'mon n such via nintendo ds,

Then again .. my friends and I who remember thos SuperNes days.. also bought it just to remeniss on old games , Zelda , Smash Brothers (N64) , Donkey Kong .. all that stuff

I knew it would probably blow over xbox.. but at least Microsoft gave it a fighting chance.

The 360 is for people who like performance.. (Ferrari's of systems..) they like knowing how much power you can boost out and the highest quality of graphics...

Then again everyone has there own opinion.

The only good games it has are the exclusive games made by Nintendo, not much else. Other developers don't really do well with the Wii. Nintendo just has too much time between releases.

I wouldnt buy a wii not even for $10 mostly beacuase it has horrible graphics and the stupid gimmick games it plays are so freaking boring and retarted, some guy calls the wii witarted :D and its also just playing the same old boring nintendo games mario,wario,zenda maetroid ect. so freaking stupid oh well each to their own im done with nintendo now i have zero interest in the nds or the wii they will not get my money until they pull their ass back together and make real games just not casual boring trash. :mad:

Yeah. I know it's been way ahead. I even bought one when It first come out 'cause me and my friends love the boxing game at parties...There's nothing like drinking and boxing. :D
