Dead Rising 2: Case Zero Review
Dead Rising 2: Case Zero is the official prequel to the events that will take place in Fortune City at the end of the month in the main game. Fans of the original Dead Rising should definitely take note of this DLC, most notably for curing the old zombie itch that all of us need to scratch every now and then. Perhaps most importantly for those of you who have been waiting for the sequel for around 4 years now. Does Dead Rising 2: Case Zero provide an excellent prelude to the real thing or is it just a cheap cash-in?

More than 60 million people are affected by a fear of Friday 13th worldwide, in fact some people are actually that superstitious about the day that they won’t even go to work, drive there cars or even get out of bed on this day. Now if this is you, and you are really really terrified of Friday 13th, then you are suffering from something that is actually diagnosed as paraskavedekatriaphobia.

Now being a Transformers fan, I say fan, I still have my Optimus Prime figure I was given as a kid 20 years ago on my bed side table, when I was seven, I decorated my room with Transformers wall paper, and I have watched the Animated 1986 Movie well over 50 times, and know it word for word! So the smile on my face when I got to review this game was very very big indeed. The game is set before the cartoon series during the war between the Autobots and Decepticons on Cybertron before they arrive on earth. You see Optimus Prime’s rise to power and see him get handed down the matrix of leadership to become leader of the Autobots. The games story is very similar to one of the cartoons plot lines in season 4 The Rebirth, where Galvatron steals the plasma energy key from the Autobots and uses it to unlock a plasma energy chamber, deep within Cybertron trying to destroy it.

Space Ark was released on the Xbox Live Arcade Marketplace on June the 16th, and I have to admit, when I was covering the game in the news, over the previous weeks, I was really looking forward to playing it. This great single/multiplayer game by Strawdog Studios is the ideal game for you to keep your hand and eye co-ordinatin in top form, and I also have to add, that if you have any anger issues, then stay clear of Space Ark, why? Because this is one fast paced game that will test your reflexes and patience to the max. I know this, because I experienced the anger and tears first hand when my 11 year old daughter tried to conquer this cute and colourful game. To find out how I got on in this totally psychedelic game, please, sit back, relax, and enjoy my review. I will also anounce a little competition at the end of my review, where you could win your own copy of Space Ark.

I've read a few reviews over the past few weeks and I thought that when I do my review, it definately needs to be different from the others. Now, I know everyone has there own opinion and I respect that to the fullest, but it doesn't mean that I agree with them, so when I read the reviews that said that Samurai Shodown Sen by Rising Star Games wasn't upto much, I definately had to disagree with them.

When I initially covered Way of the Samurai 3 by UFO Interactive games in a few news articles, I was excited at the thought of playing it. I have never had the pleasure before, as it was initially a PC game, so when I heard it was arriving on the Xbox 360 I just knew that I had to experience the gameplay. Set in the year 1560 during the Sengoku era, Way of the Samurai 3 is an open-world single-player action game that blends hack-n-slash, single-and multi-character battles with the soul of an RPG. So what did I really think of this title? Read my review and see for yourself.

Colony Defense is a tower defence game with one hell of a funky twist, having been a tower defense veteran for many years playing these games on the PC when im supposed to be working I have to say this is not your average defence game. Normally tower defence games are set around a fixed environment and you would place your tower/turrets along a set track and that would be it, but in Colony Defense that’s not the case you get 360 degrees of fast paced action.

Resident Evil 5: Lost in Nightmares is the first additional content to be given to fans by Capcom, and comes with two additional characters to use in the new Mercenaries Reunion mode. The two new characters are Excella Gionne and Barry Burton. Fans of the old games in the series will remember Burton as the weapons specialist of the S.T.A.R.S Alpha team in the first Resident Evil. It's a welcome addition to be able to play as one of the main villians in the game, as well as an old favourite. But enough about the Mercenaries content, let's talk about Lost in Nightmares. Will it be good, bad, or purely awesome?
