Resident Evil 5: Lost in Nightmares is the first additional content to be given to fans by Capcom, and comes with two additional characters to use in the new Mercenaries Reunion mode. The two new characters are Excella Gionne and Barry Burton. Fans of the old games in the series will remember Burton as the weapons specialist of the S.T.A.R.S Alpha team in the first Resident Evil. It's a welcome addition to be able to play as one of the main villians in the game, as well as an old favourite. But enough about the Mercenaries content, let's talk about Lost in Nightmares. Will it be good, bad, or purely awesome?

When I first heard that 2K Games was thinking about making a sequel to what many (myself included), considered to be their magnum opus, I was skeptical about whether or not they would be able to recapture the awe and mystery of Rapture and its remarkable inhabitants.
From the moment we all laid eyes on our first Big Daddy we knew the sheer size and strength of these behemoths and immediately began to fear the repercussions of attacking them. The Little Sister on the other hand, was an innocent albeit disturbed little girl that we couldn't help but feel pity for, since she seemed to be devoid of any life and acted more on impulse rather than logic. They would often make quib remarks about angels and the 'beautiful' world around them.
Together they would work to harvest the ADAM substance from dead splicer bodies, acting as both harvester and enforcer, but more importantly, as father and daughter. Although this concept was handled fairly well and acknowledged in the original, Bioshock 2 dives head first into the core relationships between the Big Daddies, Little Sisters, and Big Sisters. But does this make for a more interesting game or merely an extension of what had previously been established already?

When I first heard about Dante's Inferno I figured it would be an action-RPG based on the incredible depth and complexity of the original poem by 14th Century Italian Poet Dante Aligheri. Instead of developing the game from the point of view of the most popular genre in all of gaming, Visceral Games decided to adapt the poem into a third-person action-adventure. In order to do this they had to change a few core plot elements; for one, Dante had to be changed from a poet into a crusader because poets don't make very interesting characters in games.
In addition, his wife Beatrice (who was only a woman Dante met a few times in his life in the poem) was murdered and taken by Lucifer into Hell. The role of Lucifer is also given more of a role in the game compared to the poem, as he taunts Dante during his descent through Hell. The enemies in the game also had to be larger than life, and so Visceral included quite a few to challenge gamers. But how does one attempt to bring to life the world of Dante's Inferno into the video game medium?

Well I have been playing MW2 since its release back in November 09, and so far clocked up four days worth of game play and just recently hit level 50 on my first prestige, but ive lost interest in the game now to be honest. What’s the point in tying to be the best when it gets you nowhere, all these people floating around with fake 10th prestige’s. These people glitch to gain an unfair advantage in game, generally annoy other players and boost to Reach the top of the leader boards and gain the elusive 10th prestige without doing all the hard work. Glitching and boosting are 2 very similar things, im not going to go into detail about how to do these as I don’t and never will cheat at any game.

It’s time for the saga to continue. BioWare’s Mass Effect 2 has long been poised and promised to be the most innovative game thus far, and quite frankly – they delivered. As soon as Mass Effect 2 is loaded and you witness the updated graphics and interface, you start to realize exactly what you have on your hands even before the start button is pressed.
Although that’s a bit of a stretch, you get the idea. The designers of Mass Effect 2 took the time that they needed to provide an experience worthy of the critical acclaim that it’s been getting in these last few weeks leading up to launch. But the question is whether or not the hype is worth it, or if the fever pitch is due to EA and Microsoft’s marketing frenzy.
Well check out the full review below.

Darksiders, developed by Vigil Games and published by THQ, is the newest action adventure game to take on an apocalyptic theme. Set to be released on both the Microsoft Xbox 360 and the Sony Playstation 3 on January 5th in the US and on January 8th in the UK. Early impressions from most journalists that had an opportunity to play Darksiders early compared the game to “God of War” or even “Legends of Zelda”, but is Darksiders really as good as these first impressions?

The Saboteur is the newest 3rd person action game developed by Pandemic Studios and published by Electronic Arts. The Saboteur is being released on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and on the Windows platform. The story of The Saboteur is supposedly based upon the real life exploits of a war hero named “William Grover-Williams”. But instead of following this man’s adventures and just playing as Grover, Pandemic decided to create a fictional character that you really play as, named Sean Devlin (absolutely not a hero). Sean Devlin is about one of the sauciest drunks to ever handle a MP-40 and even though The Saboteur has many flaws, I still found myself playing it until the end.

On December the 23rd Square Enix released 0 Day Attack on Earth exclusively for the Xbox 360 on the Xbox LIVE Marketplace. The game was a bit highly priced for my liking, so I figured I'd give the demo a try before I made any decisions.
