THQ Inc. have today announced plans to release three downloadable content packs for Red Faction: Guerrilla, for the Xbox 360 and the PLAYSTATION 3, starting with Demons of the Badlands. Enticed by the rich veins of Martian ore, miner Alec Mason arrives on Mars hungry for a new life. But all the hopes of a brighter future, quickly fade for Mason. The Earth Defense Force ( EDF), once protectors of Martian colonists, have adopted heavy-handed checkpoints and armed patrols. As violence and trouble erupts, an underground resistance known as the Red Faction is rapidly gathering strength to combat the EDF. Mason’s quest however for a new life has become a battle for survival, and the fate of the planet now rests with him and the Red Faction.

THQ Inc. today announced plans to release three downloadable content packs for Red Faction: Guerrilla, starting with Demons of the Badlands scheduled to be released on August 13th, 2009. Demons of the Badlands will feature a destructive single-player mission arc that takes place in a new Mars landscape outside of the game’s expansive world. The pack will be available on Xbox LIVE for 800 Microsoft points and PlayStation Network for $9.99.
