Sept. 9/08: Our first order of business is introducing the 'Kolour for Kombat' contest! You see that black and white Sub-Zero Vs. Batman piece (an XLN exclusive, by the way) included in this article? Just hit the link leading to a an embiggened version , download it, colour it in Photoshop, by crayon, finger paints—whatever—and post your entry in the XLN BLOG area . All entries are due November 10th 2008. The winning colourist will have their artwork on display in the XLN MK VS DC page for all the world to see. Plus, you will receive the original black and white illustration (suitable for framing), and other prizes to be announced as the contest rolls on (maybe other MK and DC swag?) I assure you the prizes will be worth the effort. Just have fun, be creative, and be patient as more prizes will be revealed. In addition to the contest, every week we will feature exclusive Mortal Kombat Vs. DC Universe character bios and artwork you will not be able to find anywhere else. Sept. 10/08: Midway's marketing of MK vs DC has been pitch-perfect. I love the slow build and revelation of Kombatants, arenas, features, etc. With the MKast, Midway creators are giving a backstage pass to fans of the series, and it has been both entertaining and informative.
